In order to give appropriate provision to our children with SEND and to raise awareness of the issues and procedures we follow at school, we would very much like the support of our school community for our SEND Forum. Parents who have children on the SEND register will have received personal invitations to attend, however everyone is welcome.
Each class has a parent representative on the Parent Council and school staff are also represented. The Council meets once per half term and the agenda is set by the parent reps who may propose anything put forward to them by the parent/carers of the class they are representing. This group also provides a means of feeding back to the school on any topical issues.
Every half term a group of volunteers (parents/carers/grandparents/governors) meet to focus on reading. The group works together to agree and support strategies to promote an enthusiasm for reading amongst our children.
The Book Club
A reading group of parents/carers/governors/staff meet once a half term to discuss quality literature that our children should read. They then recommend the books to the children in class.
If you would like to become involved with any of the above, please contact the school office. Dates are published on the school calendar and within the weekly newsletters.
